Summary
In 2025, the Federal Government of the USA is militarizing our communities. Our wellbeing is affected. We must maintain our wellbeing. We must remain connected to people in our communities to promote our wellbeing. Reach out to your neighbours, your friends, and your family members. Be empathetic and compassionate. We will stop this militarization. We must stop this militarization for the wellbeing of everyone.
Wellbeing in a Time of Militarization
Militarization is a concrete problem today. I want to talk about how we manage our wellbeing during this period of time.
Militarization Is Real
We have evidence of many occasions of militarization in our cities. Sometimes it is ICE invading our cities. They are wannabe soldiers and wannabe cops who have been granted power, despite the fact that our US Constitution prohibits detaining people without telling them what are the charges against them and without due process. Due process is a right entrenched in the US Constitution.
Here are two links to one of the most recent egregious incidents of the overreach by the Trump Administration. Take a listen. Brace yourself for total disregard for the rights of American citizens:

Promoting Wellbeing in a Time of Militarization
Let’s go back to the basics. Social connectedness. Exercise. Sleep. Healthy eating. Relaxation. Meaningful day activity. Safe neighbourhoods. Empathy. Gratitude. Mindfulness. Compassion. Forgiveness.
We have to get together. We are all human beings with the same desires and goals and needs. The government is militarizing our communities to squash people. We must not let them.
- Talk to your neighbours and find commonalities.
- Share food with friends and neighbours and family members.
- Offer to help someone.
- Thank people for kind words and kind actions and community service.
- Prepare healthy meals. Contact your local food pantry if you cannot afford food.
- Identify a meaningful day activity. Volunteer or work in your community: we are in this together.
- Learn about someone else’s situation. See what you and they share. Experience empathy and compassion towards people.
- Take time to sleep and exercise. Sleep is restorative. Exercise releases endorphins and enkephalins which help with mood.
Inspiration for Wellbeing During Militarization
Do what you can to be connected to people.
Stand up for your neighbours.
Be courageous to address discrimination, injustice, hatred, intolerance, lies, hypocrisy, and oppression.
Be inspired by the beauty in each one of us.

Now that’s community.
Be safe. Be kind. Be generous. We will overcome. All we have is our humanity.
