I have been practicing as a psychiatric nurse practitioner since 2005.

My passions include social justice, believing we can level socioeconomic disparities, and bridging social divides. In the end, we are all human. Each one of us has flaws. No one deserves to be treated as “less than” anyone else. Poverty is not a choice. Poverty is social injustice.

Birches can bend and are resilient in times of stress. Looking at the sky, we can see smiles in the sun and clouds and moon and constellations. At night, you and I may be lucky enough to hear the laughter of twinkling stars, just as The Little Prince told us we would be able to do.

Portrait and headshot photographs perpetuate our society’s obsession with appearances. I refuse to participate in this social illness.
